Today, the family-run company, which is now in its third
generation, employs 700 employees at three locations and produces 330,000 windows annually, as well
as 7,000 front doors. As a full-range supplier, KNEER-SÜDFENSTER produces construction elements made
of Wood, Aluminium-Wood, Aluminium, Aluminium-uPVC and uPVC. Windows, lift and slide doors,
mullion-transom façades and front doors from KNEER-SÜDFENSTER not only cover the entire Germany, but
are also used worldwide.
The KNEER-SÜDFENSTER components are energy-efficient and comfortable, sophisticated in their
technology and ultra-modern in their design. They guarantee an excellent thermal-, sound- and
anti-burglary protection. We offer an enormous variety of design possibilities with colours and
shapes. "Every window and each front door is unique, and is individually manufactured, according to
the customer's wishes,
for modern architecture, as well as for the classic "renovation area", explains the managing
director Florian Kneer. Windows and front doors, meet the highest demands. The distribution is
carried out exclusively via a nationwide and qualified specialist dealer network and to
prefabricated house manufacturers.
TIMELINE: The goal always in front of your eyes
In 1932 Alois Kneer founded a small furniture manufacturing business in Westerheim on the Swabian Alb. That was the beginning. At the beginning of the 1960s, the son Horst Kneer took over the management of the family business. Under the leadership of Horst Kneer, the group of companies developed into one of the leading manufacturers of windows and front doors. Today, in the third generation, Florian Kneer leads the KNEER-SÜDFENSTER Group with more than 700 employees at the plants in Westerheim, Schnelldorf and Massen.
At the three locations, on around 30,000 sqm of production space, windows and front doors are manufactured solely to order, according to customer specifications. The production facilities are kept up-to-date by constant investment and are characterised by high flexibility.
KNEER-SÜDFENSTER manufactures windows and front doors at its main plant in Westerheim in Aluminium-Wood and uPVC. In the Middle-Franconian village in Schnelldorf, right next to the motorway A6, windows and front doors are made of Wood, uPVC and Aluminium-uPVC. The Massen plant produces Aluminum windows and Aluminum front doors.
Every day, around 1,500 windows and more than 30 front doors leave the production facilities to be delivered to the customer within Germany with our fleet of vehicles. The distribution is carried out exclusively via a nationwide and qualified specialist dealer network and to prefabricated house manufacturers.
